Class 3 - WC 11/09/17
It's been a busy week in Class 3! We have welcomed new students and been settling as a new class.
In English we have been looking at Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein'. Shelley's description of the monster is fantastic and even though the language is old we can still understand how Victor Frankenstein felt about his creation and how it looked. We have looked at the GCSE questions and we have been looking at what we need to achieve in the next year.
In Maths we have been looking at angles and how to measure and draw them. This has proven difficult for some of the class but everyone felt more confident by the end of the week. A big well done to those who persevered with Maths this week.
In Science we have looked at the different systems within our body. We labelled some of our major organs which was fun and then we have labelled and learnt about the circulatory system. We will be continuing with this work next week.
In cooking we attempted poached eggs. Why this is so difficult we do not know but half the class made some amazing poached eggs and the other half had to try a few times before we got it. We ended up with pans of white froth and some little suns with no white at all but the end product was very tasty.
We are looking forward to next week where we will be looking at bearings and scale diagrams in Maths and in English we are looking at selecting information.
Have a great weekend from all in Class 3!
