Class 3 - WC 25/09/17

We had a busy week in Class 3!

In English we have been learning about how to extract information from different sources and express this in our own words. We have read a variety of sources and answered questions about what we have implied and inferred.

In Maths we have been working on factors and multiples which has highlighted the need to practice our times tables at home as well as in school.

In Science we have looked at the circulatory system and looked at how and why we need our blood. We have enjoyed watching a video of a beating human heart outside of the body. We looked at the rhythm and how it wasn't the traditional heart shape that we see.

We enjoyed a visit to Saltaire to look at the artwork of David Hockney, among other ideas. We loved the large book of pictures and spent a lot of time look at this. The children particularly enjoyed wearing the white cotton gloves that you were required to wear when handling the book. We obviously had to go to the park and enjoyed a bag of chips in the rare sunshine.

In cooking we made (and very quickly ate) brownies. They were absolutely delicious.

Have a fabulous weekend from all in Class 3.
