Class 3 - WC 30/10/17

Well it was a nice and short week for Class 3 due to building problems, so we got stuck straight in to work when we returned on Wednesday so that we didn't miss out on any important learning.
In English we have looked at using adjectives and adverbs in our work. We discovered how and why authors use this in their own work and how it has a real affect on the reader. We used our 5 senses to describe sweets. We looked at them, smelled them, touched then, listened to how they sounded when we opened them and the best part was eating them! The pupils worked really hard to describe each part of this and we discovered new and more exciting ways to describe.
In Maths we looked at decimals and how to add and subtract them. Next week we will go on to multiplying decimals which always gives Mrs Clifford a headache!
We had a fun day for Halloween, Mrs Clifford, Mrs Marsden and Mrs Verity dressed up and scared the class and we had a few other members of staff around school trying our best to scare students. We did some Halloween art to celebrate the day.
Have a great, and safe, bonfire weekend from all in Class 3!
