Class 5 WC 06/03/17

Well done to Conner for receiving student of the week for producing some outstanding work in Maths this week. Congratulations to Lewis who achieved the most point this week.

Maths this week we have been investigating the average and range of data. Class 5 enjoyed finding the mean height of students and staff and the range of shoe sizes. In English we have been analysing different sentence types to improve our writing skills. All students have shown a really good understanding of how to construct simple, compound and complex sentences.

In Health and Social Care we have continued our work at Regency House care home in Keighley. Mr Lodge has been showing Ryan, Tom and Jake how to saw wood safely as we clear all the branches that have fallen from the trees. The hard work is starting to pay off and the grounds of the care home are looking much tidier.

In cooking we have made different styles of kebabs. Leah and Lewis made some quorn kebabs with salad and pitta bread. Tom and Conner made some delicious lamb and veg kebabs that had a bit of a spicy kick to them. Callum and Ryan stole the show with their chicken tikka kebabs, which were cooked to perfection!
