Class 6 - wc 17.07.17

This year in maths we have covered shape, money, area, perimeter and more recently algebra to name just a few of our topics. With each new concept all pupils have increased their understanding of maths and we hope to build on this further next year.

English has been great this year. We have studied Shakespeare and Flat Stanley, we’ve interviewed members of staff, discovered collective nouns reading A Murder of Crows, looked at natural disasters around the world and enjoyed Roald Dahl’s Georges Marvellous Medicine.

In PE pupils have developed their skills in many areas this year. Basketball is always popular as is volleyball. Introducing pupils to sports that are available to those with a disability was really interesting. Pupils gained a greater appreciation of the difficulties others may have within sports.

Cooking is always popular with pupils. They have developed their ability to follow a recipe and produced some really delicious food. My favourite being the simplicity of egg fried rice and how macaroni cheese is lovely when home-made. Although I think Cameron would say the chocolate pizza was amazing.

To all Class 6 pupils past and present have a lovely summer break, keep safe and I look forward to seeing you all next year.
