Class 8 - WC 06/11/17

KS3 continued with the new English scheme this week, with everyone making excellent progress, especially the pupils from class 8. We produced a shared introduction to our POW this week, describing the scene and the main characters. The pupils then had to continue the story independently.

In maths we looked at inverse operations; using the same numbers with a different operation to check our original answers. We also looked at rounding whole numbers to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000 and then rounding decimals to the nearest whole number.

We had a very short cooking lesson this week, as we had to make a cheese and pickle sandwich; something that everyone managed to complete successfully. On Wednesday afternoon, instead of art and science, we went on a walk through Thackley and along the canal.

Congratulations to Onray, Tyler and Zak who all represented the class at Elm Tree Court this week. Congratulations also go to Onray and Mack who both earned a £5 voucher for earning a ‘green week’.
