Class 3 - WC 14.01.2019

In Class 3 this week we have been working really hard in maths with calculations in time and money. We have looked at word problems to help us to prepare fr our exams. The class found some of these questions tricky, especially when looking at word problems that dealt with working hours, travel and time differences.

English has been interesting this week as we had a recap on the different styles of writing that might crop up in the exams. We have looked at report writing, travel writing and also biographies and autobiographies.

We made corn fritters in cooking which looked really tasty although the class has a bit of a sweet tooth and therefore always refers the sweeter recipes, such as buns and biscuits. They're going to love the recipe next week.

We had our last football coaching session at Guiseley FC this week and each pupil who had attended the whole course received a certificate which was present in the football stadium. Class three have thoroughly enjoyed this course and were really grateful that Luke and Connor taught them not only valuable football skills, but also about respect, teamwork and communication in sport.

It is mock exam week in Maths and English next week so there will be some tired brains by the end of it.

Have a great weekend from everyone in Class 3.
